FQHC opportunity cost

Does anyone ever wonder about the opportunity cost of working for an FQHC? Generally speaking, compared with our private practice colleagues, we make much less. I understand if you take into account benefits, etc. it may be similar, but how close? Here in California, we are making around 150-180k annually. Are we underpaid? What is everyone's long-term plan? Is there any incentive for me to stay if I am not doing loan forgiveness ..

Dental procedure for best hirability

Besides the obvious - patient communication and treatment planning,

Which clinical procedure should I look to improve / take CE to grow that clinical skill to become more hireable for associate positions? I am moving to an HCOL area that is pretty saturated and want to make sure employers will look at me seriously. Want to end up at a good private practice and not at a DSO ... so is it Extractions? Invisalign? Implants? Just bread and butter, etc.?

Vacoped flat sole at 0 degrees

Hello,

I am at 0-30 degrees of ROM in my vacoped boot, in which I've been walking in the wedge sole for the past few days, as I wanted to see how my Achilles felt before switching to the flat wedge. I switched to the flat sole today, but was afraid of the big change, as I read throughout this forum, the change from the wedge to the flat sole is about a 15-degree difference. So I am wondering if it would be okay to switch my vacoped boot back to 10-30 degree ROM, then 5-30, then finally back to 0-30 every other day. This would be a slower, gradual 5-degree drop. Would this be detrimental in any way? Or would it be better just to adapt with the tension at 0-30 to make my transition into shoes better (which I should be getting in shoes by next week). TIA

Molis Coaching Invisalign

I am interested in taking their CE program and wondering if anyone can give input on their experience if they've taken the course. I know there is a 12-month program and a more accelerated (PACE program), pros/cons of each? I am a GP with pretty much no prior clear aligner experience and am wondering if there should be any other courses I should look into taking first before signing up for Molis. I am looking forward to taking on simple Invisalign cases to start, then growing from there.

P.S I did take the Invisalign new provider onboarding course a while back, but did not find any cases to begin and forgot pretty much what I learned in the course. So treating this approach as a beginner with 0 experience.
