Hair on side of my head are more thin, clear and mainly don’t grow much in length Is this hair thinning/balding

Is this hair thinning/balding. I don’t usually hear about it on rye sides of the head. My hairline has definitely receded a bit over the last few years but this is my main concern.

I’d rather have my hair shorter but I’m now self conscious. I’d really appreciate some advice. Is it time for meds?

I’m 20 if that means anything
