What formations best suit certain plays in the air raid?For example a lot of coaches I know prefer 4 verts and y corner out of trips.

Edit: I’m not asking what formations to run but rather what plays are best out of certain formations.
My head coach liked 4 verts out of trips because the inside reciever ran to the hash on the opposite side and created a better man beating route for that reciever.

I’ve been the tight ends and assistant OL/DL coach at a small private high school for 3 years. Our Oline was average or smaller than the other teams in our area, but we had our best rushing season since 2016. We only ran power, counter, lead, and inside zone. This year we are adding trap, g sweep, g lead, dart, wham and fold. I’m arguing that we should stick with what we are already good at, but my OC thinks we should add more because we should theoretically be better this year. What are your thoughts?
