Storing Mosin In Low Humidity (20%)
I recently purchased a Mosin with wooden furniture and I have a few concerns regarding humidity. Especially considering this is the first firearm with wooden furniture that I’ve bought. The humidity level usually never exceeds 50% due to a dehumidifier in my gun room, but during the winter the humidity can be as low as 20-25% for several months straight. I’m wondering if I should take some precautions, or if the mosin will likely be fine? I understand that it’s been around for 80 years and shown no signs of damage, but I don’t want to be the one to cause it to sustain damage. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated.
