Giving this beauty a run out this afternoon. Firstly, this Demon pressing is very nice, happy to have picked it up for a decent price. Secondly, I can’t think of many better “Side Two’s” in the discography than this one, “Paranoia Man” and “Bald Headed Men” in particular are awesome. Any opinions on a better side B?
Giving the vinyl reissue of this a spin this afternoon. In a vast, unique, catalogue this sits near the top for me. it’s chaotic and, essentially, the album you and your mates, having been on the piss all afternoon, dream you could make if, suddenly you were given access to a studio at 8pm, having never picked up an instrument before.
Finally got round to playing this, having had it for ages. Sounds incredible to my ears, though admittedly I’ve not heard the original pressing to compare.
Probably been said before but a great album for anyone new to Swans to get a feel for whether they’re going to be their thing or not.
On a separate note, can’t wait for the new live album. Will regret forever not getting Live Rope on vinyl, that opportunity seems to have gone forever. Not making that mistake again.
Not surely it entirely fits within this group but spent a drunken afternoon spinning Sack full of Silver amongst other things. Any love on here for what feels like one of the most under appreciated bands of the 80s/90s?
