A little background: the first time I watched the film I didn’t like or understand it at all. I knew I was missing something. The second or third watch it really clicked and I love it now. I’ve since become a huge reader and thought to start the novel.

The first 50 pages or so I felt lost all over again. Then it clicked, again. I’m now almost done and I think I might like the book even more than the film. It’s incredible how through reading, I am able to adapt and I feel like I have learned a new language.

The only issue is that I feel I’m only able to latch onto the novel through reference of the film.

I guess I’m just hoping to hear from fans of the book or movie about their experiences with each and which they like more.

I am just so invested in the world right now.

Also sorry to mods if this is a bad place to post this.

I ain’t got nothing against him, I just would love some shows that he’s not yelling through the entire time. Is he on Patreon episodes as well as regular ones? Every episode?

I just got 3 books for my next round of reading. I have been on a sci fi kick so I wanted to change it up. What should I read first out of these three?

Hey all! I’m looking for an online book club community. I read daily and have nobody to discuss with. I’m currently reading Mountain in the Sea and it’s killing me to not have anybody to discuss it with. I just finished the 3 body trilogy as well. Hoping to find a community to share these great books with. Does anybody know of one I could join?
