Netflix Documentary
Hey, guys! Just yesterday afternoon I watched the documentary Netflix released, and when it ended, it left me feeling really empty. They were so young, with a world of possibilities and so many things to experience, and the fact that someone took their lives in such a brutal way really got me thinking. I even kept reflecting on the documentary throughout the night.
There are a few things that weren’t clear to me, like the 911 call where one of the girls says her friend is unconscious. But didn’t she see all the blood splattered across the room? I don’t know—maybe I’m missing something. There are some inconsistencies in the series that left me with major doubts, and the theories I saw online—people trying to find a clear answer to what happened—left me with even more doubts. The only thing I’m sure of is that if he hadn’t found them sleeping, the murder would have been thwarted. It broke my heart to hear Xana’s father regret not having traveled there to see her.
There are probably close friends or even family members of all the young people who died that night on this forum. I’m not from the U.S., and I only heard the broad outlines of the story through the news, but I’m so very sorry—I really am. I hope that someday everything can be fully clarified and that their families and friends can find the peace they’ve been searching for so long.
