I collected the first full set of costumes for the main ninja team from Dragons Rising
It so happened that I didn't like these versions and I didn't even plan to collect them. But I was given sets that had almost everyone except Lloyd. I bought him to complete the team
I also changed the minifigures a little, added other elements to at least slightly improve their appearance for me
The Rogue minifigure looks good on its own, but I decided to add a few of my own elements to it
For a long time the only Rebooted minifigure in the collection was Cole. Then at one day I wanted to collect the entire ninja team, which I actually did
I also decided to paint the Techno blades and increase their detail a little to improve the design
The collaboration between Lego Ninjago and Fortnite has been rumored for a long time. The game has added characters from the main four ninja with unique designs and corresponding Lego variations
It is unlikely that Lego plans to release official minifigures of the characters. So since/until that happens, I decided to create custom versions of these figures. All in the classic style
Returning to work with Lego, I decided to continue the Oni theme. Since the main lore of Ninjago is based on Dragons and Oni, and of the latter we have one unfortunate Omega, a couple of his clones and a half-figure Mistake. Very, very poor
Everything new is well forgotten old. Therefore, I decided to dig deep and focus on the three Oni generals who led the army to Omega. According to the plot, we already know their names, since Harumi uttered them while performing the ritual
• Ha-Eed (hatred)
• Decer (deception)
• Venge (vengeance)
It is also known from the lore that the outlines of the Oni masks were taken from the faces of real generals. Then everything becomes clear
I decided to recreate my versions of the former Oni generals by combining the prints of the Oni masks and Omega face
To begin with, I decided to sketch the versions of the face masks on a sheet of paper (then digitized). And I really like the result that was achieved
The Oni family gradually began to grow. We continue to work
I finally finished working on the Omega minifigure. I didn't start customizing it for a long time
The thing is, of course, I didn't want to have a regular figure that Lego released. I wanted a unique, majestic version that spoke of Omega's status with its appearance, and not just an ordinary warrior with big horns
And I thought for a long time about how I could achieve this goal. There were several different options, but in the end I settled on the one you can see in the photo
Overall, I liked the final result of the customization. I think that against the background of regular warriors, which I will also make later, Omega will stand out and will speak with its appearance about its special status in the Oni army
I was still able to get the faun legs and make Mistake's Oni form more canonical
And the point here is not even canon, but that the figure still looks much better and more interesting this way
It was good when Lego released even non-canonical versions of Jay, who were not in the series. This way you could easily assemble a full team
But due to some plot twists, there are some costumes that Jay did not get, in particular this one. Therefore, you have to either make your own custom ones or buy them
I've done Golden Armor versions of Nya and Lloyd in the past. I plan to do new customizations of these figures, fixing the flaws of the previous ones
I decided to make my own variation of the Obsidian weapons from the game "Shadow of Ronin"
In fact, it is the same Golden weapons, only the shurikens are changed to sai, and a glaive is added as Ronin's weapon
In the future, I want to give out weapons for Jungle Ninja ("Tournament of Elements"), because apart from Titanium Zane and Skylor, I don't have any ninja figures
A small addition to the collection. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get Lloyd for a decent price, but the First Spinjitzu Master took pity on me
I made other weapon options for Golden Armor Nya and Lloyd that weren't in the Lego sets
I used the ready-made weapons from Crystallization as a base and combined them to have a similar style to the Golden Weapons
