Shockingly, this racing-style watch is my 9‑5 MVP

When I first bought this Daytona, I thought it would be my “look-cool-on-weekends” watch.

Turns out, it’s now my office MVP. The rubber strap is ridiculously comfy all day, the silver dial never blinds me under fluorescent lights, and it somehow doesn’t clash with my boring dark shirts.

I never expected a bold racing watch to be the unsung hero of my mundane 9‑5 routine. It’s like having a tiny, reliable adrenaline shot strapped to my wrist — making spreadsheets slightly more tolerable.

Honestly, sometimes I catch myself whispering to it: “You’re the only exciting thing in this office.”

I started enjoying this watch the moment I stopped worrying about scratches.

I’ve always loved the Speedmaster.

But the more I thought about it, the more I realized I wanted the design and wearing experience more than the pressure that can come with owning something I’d be afraid to scratch.

So I chose a version I feel completely comfortable wearing.

I can take it to work, on trips, and through everyday life without constantly worrying about every small mark.

That freedom has made me enjoy the watch even more.

To me, a great watch should be something you actually wear, not something you’re afraid to use.

Does anyone else care more about enjoying the design than stressing over keeping a watch in perfect condition?
