Saving a rank 3-4 mutant gem and awakening gem for top 5 mutants but unable to get them. So who deserves that from the chars here? Almost explored act 9.

Attempting carina challenge villains/ heroes soon. Not a bg player. I have heard both are great in what they do, but which one is needed more at end game content?
