Timing Case Leak Opinions?

Hey there fellow Highlander owners/fans.

Car came back from scheduled 70,000 miles maintenance at the local dealer today (I know, I know) and they identified a timing case leak on my 2020 V6 SE. Dealer quoted an outrageous $6500 to replace (of course we didn’t find this issue at the 60,000 when the warranty was still valid).

I know a grease monkey could probably do this cheaper, but have seen the extensive work required to access the fix via my own online research so I assume it’ll still be pricey. I also see that this is a common flaw and could return even with the fix. But also that if it’s a slower leak, that regularly scheduled oil changes should keep everything ok.

I owe about $9000 on the car, and am debating whether this is a fix worthwhile or to go ahead and try and get a trade out of it. It needs a passenger side door actuator as well.

Thoughts?
