Who talks like this?

Y’all got families out there. Do any of your families talk like this, with F-bombs in every sentence?? Do you engage in fully pornographic sex talk with your co-workers??

OK, I know I’m old-fashioned. I don’t use that kind of language anywhere, anytime. But I understand that others are different. My problem is that I don’t believe that ANY families or ANY workplaces talk like this.

I feel like they started with the main story idea(s) about a bunch o’ middle-aged characters, then they hired a bunch o’ GenZ’ers to write the dialogue for them. It doesn’t really work, if you ask me.

The show ultimately rises above this flaw, but it’s a struggle in S1 & S2. By S3, all is forgiven!

Agility play?

Do poodles respond well to structured agility training/play?

We own an absolutely perfect (to us) 6kg miniature poodle (15 months old). She gets lots of affection and lots of general outdoor play and exercise. But we're getting the sense that she needs more mental "play". She loves to be mentally challenged, especially when physical play is involved.

You can see it when she plays with other dogs. She's constantly trying to outsmart them! She's fast, nimble, and playful, and she likes to "box". She challenges other dogs and blends her skills to get the upper hand. We try to get her that experience a handful of times each week.

But we'd like to be able to give her more mental challenge in her interactions with us. There's a nice, flat patch of grass (100 square meters) here, and we're thinking of setting up an agility course, starting with simple gear like this: https://amzn.eu/d/05al71GZ (or equivalent "homemade").

But I'm just not sure she'll go for it. We bought her those food puzzles with the sliding caps and trap doors. She defeated them in 5 minutes and totally lost interest. She seems to say to us, "Look, if you've got a REAL challenge, with REAL work, and REAL achievement, I'm your dog. I'll LOVE it. Want me to dive into the brush after that rabbit? Lemme at 'im! But games...? Seriously? Fake challenge? Oh, please. Don't insult my intelligence."

So what's your experience?

What's the best update to Bad Elf + iPad??

When I was last a regular cruising sailor on my own boat, in addition to the installed navigation system, I used a hand-held BadElf (https://bad-elf.com/products/be-gps-2200) that fed my satellite-based position via Bluetooth to my iPad, which was running Navionics. And I LOVED having this set-up in parallel to the one permanently installed on my boat. Heck, I could take it in the dinghy with me if I wanted!

What are you cruising folks using today? I see that this whole category of GPS devices (like that old BadElf) no longer exists. I don't want to actually navigate using the handheld satellite device; I just want it to feed my position to a nice, large-screened iPad via Bluetooth. But I'm not finding anything that seems to do this.
