Been in manufacturing since I was in my early 20s. 37 now. Would a BAS in management be a good move?

Ok so right now I’m at a point in my life where I’m trying to pivot in the right direction so I can make more money and be set for the rest of my life. I’ve been working in manufacturing (factory work) since I was in my early 20s. In 37 right now, working as a tooling coordinator for a metal industry supplier, serving the automotive sectors. I just finished a 2 year AAS degree in computer information systems. At first I planned on stopping there, maybe getting certifications and going into IT. However I’m starting to second guess that decision because I feel like it will take a pretty lengthy time to move up in the ranks and make a good income. So now I’m thinking about continuing school, and possibly getting a BAS in management. That way I can use all the years of manufacturing work plus the degree to move in a management role. I’m just looking for advice from people who may have had a similar situation.

I’m finishing up a 2 year stint at community college, getting a AAS in Computer Information Systems. I plan on getting a few certs, or continuing college to get a BAS in management. 37 years old right now, would be 40 when and if I went for the BAS. That is kinda separate from IT, and I’m thinking about it it because I feel like I will have to take a substantial pay cut for a lengthy time if I get in to IT.
