Since I’m currently at the highest level of grid 18, I’m unsure how the promotion process works. Should I be requesting a move to a higher salary grid (like 21), waiting for a higher-level position to open and applying, or proactively discussing with my manager or leadership that I’m ready to take on more responsibility and move up?
