Hey all, looking for some insight. I submitted my sf-86 to my security officer March 2 of this year as well as my drug screening. I got an update end of March with them asking me to confirm filed taxes and the status of some accounts from 2019 which were closed but had balances remaining. I provided settlement agreements for them and confirmation of "filed" taxes for 2022 which i had filed this year(no owed taxes). Following that document submission I received an automated email from USA Staffing that my advanced step was approved.
Outside of that i hadn't really heard anything else. I understand the hurry up and wait mantra, but my NBIS status hadn't changed since my submission March 2. I know my security officer has a job to do so I don't bother them with status updates. Today I called DCSA and asked them directly if my clearance had been submitted to them for processing since NBIS is still only showing "Application submitted", and I was told they can see it's still reflecting that my investigation hasn't been released by the Security officer but my S.O may have more info. I've talked to all of my contacts in my SF-86 and no one has been contacted.
My question to my Security Professionals is what do you believe is happening behind the scenes that my application hasn't been released to DCSA. Just looking for some insight.
