I am thinking of travelling in early June and this is what we are planning

Colombo

Kandy 2 days (any alternate hilly location which has a better experience or is nearer to Colombo?)

Kandy to Bentota

Bentota 2 days (any alternative to Bentota which is better?)

Colombo again before flying back home

Overall 6 days

We wanted a slow paced itinerary for a short vacation. Although driving times are high in this itinerary but both the tows looked nice to visit while giving a mix of both hills and beach. I understand it would be rainy on this side but we want to choose places near Colombo to reduce travel time and Bentota seems very nice. We aren't looking to do water activities but relax near the beaches. Additional question- would it be safe to travel to Kandy if it's rainy during that time? If there are any other towns that'd be better, I'd love some suggestions!

So I have been reading a lot of posts here about how Iron infusion can prepone your periods or you may get the right after the infusion if you were due soon anyway.

My doctor has recommended one iron infusion which I was planning to take within the next 5-6 days, while my cycle will start within the next 10 days.

Would it matter if I postpone my infusion AFTER the periods are done?

Can it help at all in keeping my cycle on schedule?

What has your experience been?

I have to travel quite often and if I can in anyway ensure my schedule doesn't get hampered, I'd do it accordingly.

How has your experience been travelling to Sri Lanka? We are two women planning on travelling there next month and would be using private car transfers and resorts to stay at, so I am not too worried about being out late at night or being at crowded places.

But I am still trying to gauge if it's safe and comfortable enough for just women to travel by themselves.
