Will I get New Information at Hematologist? *A little bit ranty*
I have had low iron levels my entire life. I am just now learning that a transferrin saturation of 5 is bad, and iron levels below 30 need to be addressed in a hospital. I feel like nobody in my entire life has taken this seriously until now. My PCP told me to go to a hematologist to see if I could get an iron infusion. Maybe I am a bit pissed because it's far as hell and there's a co-pay, and I'm going to take the day off. I'm also afraid I won't get any new answers. I know I most likely have endo. My mother had that and also had a fibroid taken out. My grandmother had ovarian cancer and had a bad experience. I feel like I will just be told that. Has anyone had any great experiences with a hematologist? think I just need some hope.
