When is it normal to have your pre op appointment before surgery?

My surgery date is June 9th, just outside of Toronto and I haven’t heard anything from my surgeons office since February when they called me just to tell me my surgery date was June 9th. Should I be reaching out to them at this point or continue to wait?

Having surgery on June 9th. I keep seeing advertisements for compression shorts that I guess help support the hip. Has anyone tried compression shorts out post surgery? Were they worth it?
