When I cracked this book open last night, I had intended to read it in a few sittings over the weekend. 8 hours later I'd finished the whole thing and it was 4am. I physically could not put it down.

This may sound corny, but it almost felt like this story was written for me. The relationship dynamic was exceptional, with the two being equal, but her being a little more equal, if you catch my meaning. The FMC is everything I could possibly want and more. As for the MMC, I share many similarities with him, so it really felt like he was an (admittedly idealized) version of me. The way he was thrust into things as a complete fish out of water, and learned at the same pace as the reader made it very easy to get absorbed into the stories world and setting.

That brings me to the worldbuilding, which was absolutely outstanding. The world felt simultaneously bizarre and believable. The race scenes were well described and easy to follow, I found I could vividly picture them in my mind.

As for the... spicy scenes, they were similarly well done. >!I really enjoyed the way we were given an appetizer at the end of the first act.!< It was very believably paced. >!And then following the stories climax with the romantic climax? Absolute genius.!<

I have a few gripes, but they're mere surface level complaints. When there was a pause between a characters sentences, the author indicated it by just putting 'Pause' between them, whitch I found a bit awkward to read. >!The authors use of 'cunny' also left me feeling a little uncomfortable, but it was only used twice and easy to get past. !<Beyond that, I noticed a few grammatical and formatting errors that would be an easy fix with a more thorough proof reading/editing process.

Overall, I have to give this book a strong 10/10! I expect this to stay my favourite for some time.

Going forwards, I'd like to know if anyone has any recommendations with a similar FMC. That is to say anything with a well written warrior woman. As well anything with a similar dynamic, where the FMC is the more assertive by far, but the MMC is able to keep up.

(Also if anyone know any where the MMC has the same name as this, I would be ecstatic.)

I am truly among my peers

Hello all!
I was just introduced to this community by reading Colin Graves’ Golden Fields, which I loved with all my heart. I’ve seen the light, and finally understand why people like romance novels so much.
Now I’m looking for another one, so I’m wondering if anyone knows of any CEO x low level employee stories, where the CEO is a woman.
I’d be eternally grateful, thanks in advance!
