My IronTeeth Lodge
Building over the river seemed like an obvious solution to maximize my use of the irrigated land, has anyone else arrived at this solution? I feel like the buildings being over the river is the defining feature of this lodge though. It's all very compact, decently organized, and he space for expansion as needed is readily available, but I'm running into a bit of a limitation of district size. I also find the little pond offshoot from the river with the pool and baths I arrived at to be cute.
I've probably put the final feasible layer on the reservoir, and now it is time for the final push to complete the repopulator. The map on Plains is very friendly for setting up the badwater diversion. IronTeeth are very interesting, the changed mechanics from the FolkTails cause some interesting changes. It is very hard to accidentally overpopulate with the FolkTails like I have twice now with IronTeeth.
Most of the industry of the lodge happens up front, powered by the double big wheel, some beaver turners and steam engines to keep the saws turning. The agriculture in the valley is rich. Behold our mangroves, the beavers go crazy for them, and the lush farmland providing a cornucopia of bounty. Storage, housing and beaver production all happen pretty centrally. It is a large district, but it manages to function well enough.
