Hey Guys!!

So, this summer I’m going to Japan, and I have recently picked up loving kitchen knives, and hev t gotten the ability to buy my own yet. Therefore I don’t know much about different kinds of knives, material, brands etc. This will hopefully change when I go Japan. I thought you guys would have some knowledge regarding where I should go and what kind of knives. I am only 21, so this would be my first, and I also don’t have that much money to spend on knives. Any recommendations?

My thought was to get maybe 2 knives, so what are the ones I should go for, and I am going to Tokyo, Takayama, Kanazawa and Kyoto?
