I’m new to trading on margin. I have been swing trading on margin and have close to 100k realized gains since Jan.are there any loopholes or strategies to keep from having to pay quarterly taxes on the realized gains until the end of the year? Although I have lowered my margin balance tremendously, I’m going to have trouble coming up with the short term capital gain tax for quarter 2, because of my lack of knowledge, I was thinking this could be paid at the end of the year, but I was told this is not the case. I was under the impression people in real estate could sell, and go buy something else immediately and offset the gains. I guess the jokes on me and a lesson learned . Does anyone have any insight?
