Some readings I did

I haven't read cards in a long time but I felt inclined to. I decided to do 3 readings, let me know is this applies. Choose 1, 2 or 3 😁

#1- >! You could be someone in a healthy long term relationship and could have just gotten a promotion or something if the sort. Your partner is happy for you (also absolutely adores you) but they feel like they have to make an appointment to spend time with you. No, your partner isn't cheating but occasionally checks out of the relationship (mentally or sometimes can do something physical like take long drives and imagine a different life). They also, do occasionally allow a compliment to boost their ego. The cards ask for you to make some time for your partner and to do something a little surprising- just so that they feel appreciated. This will go a long way for them, they often feel unappreciated. !<

#2- >! Some of you are in an on and off relationship with someone who might be older than you or very set in their ways. This is someone that you feel a very deep, even consuming connection with. The highs are very high, but the lows are low. You could both do very well financially and career wise but your partner could feel intimidated by your financial security and/or you are very charismatic and charming (especially in conparisto them) and that makes them insecure. They may breadcrumb you or even judge things you do as a ways of making it seem they are the prize. Their true feelings are a mix of real love but with the king of swords and devil, they could be more obsessed and it's always gonna be their way or the highway. They do want something long term with you, they feel you are the one and it's even possible to attain it BUT the cards ask for you to reevaluate this. No matter how good it gets with this person, a certain level of "friction" will always come with the territory of being with them. !<

#3- >! You could be someone who has been rebuilding their life, like a phoenix rising from the ashes. Your at the end of some major obstacles and transformations. You have a future in which you get to start over, this could be a physical move based on a financial or job opportunity and you won't allow self limiting beliefs to hold you back anymore. You're very focused on building a beautiful life for yourselves and some of you are specifically single parents and you will achieve a stable and happy home environment for your kid(s). You will be someone you don't recognize, someone very confident and comfortable in who you are and what you offer. Unfortunately, there is someone from your past who wants your stability again. Someone who was cruel. Also, if this is someone that cheated on you, they are still dealing with the person they cheated on you with. They do want to come in with the intention of wanting something "solid". The cards say: Make it extremely clear there is no way to come back. Be harsh. Because this person will not want to take no for an answer. !<

Hopefully this resonated. Blessings 🥰

I just purchased a fragrance I have been wanting for a very long time. It was available at Maxaroma for a great price, so I purchased a full bottle. Has anyone had purchased from Maxaroma? How was the experience?

I realize that I should have asked prior to getting it 🤣. I realized as soon as the transaction was completed 😫 (Do not attack me 😅🙏)

Also, I love this fragrance. I love the cypriol oil in the dry down, reminiscent of bleu turquoise without the vanilla or incense.

I have been struggling to make a good gel cream for the body (cracked with eczema 😫) . I made some today and it went from a gel cream viscosity to a liquid milk once I added my cool down phase. Once it got cooled to 69°, it thickened slightly but I could still just pour it into a pump bottle from the beaker. Was it too much extracts? It hasnt technically broken but will it break eventually? Was it one or two specific things?

Water Phase:

-Water 204.75g

-Edta 0.75g

Oil Phase:

-Gel maker emu 9.0g

-Stearic acid 3.0g

-Palmitic acid 3.0g

-Myristic Acid 3.0g

-Dimethicone 6.0g

-Petrolatum 6.0g

-Squalane 6.0g

-Shea nut oil 6.0g

-Shea butter 6.0g

-Triglycerides 10.5g

-Coconut oil 7.5g

-Cetyl alcohol 3.0g

-Hydrogenated cottonseed oil 3.0g

-Octyldodecanol 3.0g

Cool down:

-Phytofuse renew 6.0g

-Honeyquat 6.0g

-Colloidal Oat Liquid extract 6.0g

-Preservative 1.5g (Liquid Germall Plus)

All help is greatly appreciated!!!

Flower Glyph.

I wanna sample this one, I actually dont like blueberry that much but can tolerate (I do in Sweetie Aoud) but the ink note is intriguing and I love Jasmine and Plums.

Thoughts?

And I usually an not partial to lavender but the way it was described... I NEED THIS! Has anyone gotten to sniff this yet?

Shalimar Millesime Rose. This doesn't have much if any of the Shalimar DNA, smells a lot like Rose Cherie with a little incense.

If you're not a fan of the Shalimar DNA, and like rose and almond- you will like it. It's an easy to love fragrance but I prefer Millesime Jasmin 👌.

I envision myself in the occupation I’m studying for, and I visualize being successful at it. Sounds silly but it works!

I occasionally watch videos of people already working in the field. How they explain procedures, how they think, how they problem‑solve. It helps me stay connected to my WHY.

I set a specific study schedule and stick to it. For me, that’s 3 hours a day Monday through Friday (with breaks), and 4–8 hours on Saturdays.

*This is not gonna be possible all the time, life happens, and I don't respond negatively to it. The brain then learns not to associate panic or guilt to studying.*

Before each session, I say out loud how long I’m going to study and what my objectives are for this day.

My study space is organized and everything is laid out. I wear a specific fragrance only when I study, which has trained my brain to associate that scent with focus. A candle also works.

*My friend set his study alarm to sound off to Juvenile's Back that @$$ up when it's time to study. Works for him!*

I don’t allow my phone on the desk, it only rings for emergencies. I downloaded a tool that blocks social media and browsing. I keep only water next to me.

If I feel foggy, I choose from a few strategies: cross‑lateral movements, brain puzzles. Listening to a metronome prior to also helps.

If I’m struggling to concentrate, I set a 5‑minute timer and commit to studying just for that short window. It usually gets me going. For reading, I’ll tell myself to read only one sentence or even five words to activate my focus. I don’t identify with procrastination or overthinking. I catch it in the moment and gently redirect myself back to studying. Reading out loud to also helps to re‑engage.

When the timer goes off, I take a break. I don’t try to finish a lesson, even if I’m close. I leave the study area so my brain associates that space only with studying. I don’t get on my phone because of the block. I eat healthier snacks or a protein‑rich lunch with healthy fats (70% cacao with dates, walnuts, and raspberries is one of my go‑to snacks). For movement, I’ll balance on something, walk, or do cross‑lateral exercises to support hemispheric integration.

When it’s time to go back in, it doesn’t feel daunting. The breaks make a huge difference.

When my final timer tells me I’m done, I’m done. I don’t push to finish anything. I clean up so the space is ready for the next day. I make sure to thank myself -this is important- it trains my brain to associate studying with dopamine and accomplishment.

Do you do any of these? What have you done to train yourself to study?

****P.S. - Cross lateral movements are movements that cross the body's midline, engaging both brain hemispheres simultaneously to improve coordination, focus, and cognitive function. Examples: crawling, cross marching, windmills. ****
