Hi everyone, this is my first post so bare with me. I’m a 24f mom who has dealt with bladder infections my entire life. 3 years ago I was with a partner who I unknowingly repeatedly contracted chlamydia from for 9 months along with a cancerous hpv that turned into dysplasia (pre cancer). Then since September I’ve been experiencing symptoms of constant severe urethra pain, frequent urination basically uti symptoms but the tests are negative and also irritable bowel symptoms. I’ve had a colonoscopy, endoscopy, bladder scope. My diagnoses at this point are: PCOS, Interstitial cystitis, and pelvic floor dysfunction. I’m on a nerve medication, overactive bladder medication, estrogen and progesterone birth control. With my conditions I feel confident I won’t be able to carry another child because of the pain and I’d have to go off all my meds.
So here’s what I’m wondering would getting a hysterectomy help? Because I spoke to a woman with symptoms similar to mine but instead of getting a diagnosis they just removed her uterus and moved her bladder up and it greatly improved her quality of life. Does anyone else have a story like this??
