Idk what to do
Ok so my cat has been scratching his chin raw and he’s been to the vet they gave him a cone, some antibiotics and a powdered topical meds. I put him on flea and tick meds just to be safe and he’s always used ceramic bowls so that rules out acne and fleas. He hasn’t had any issues with his food other than his eyes watering but he likes gravy so that just might be it. But at his last appointment they said there was some findings with his dental about didn’t elaborate. I’m starting to think he’s been scratching because of underlying dental issues and he hasn’t been eating as much but that might also just be because of the cone. My vet isn’t available rn and I’m stressed because he’s been losing weight and he’s expensive. He has to be fully sedated when he goes to appointments. Can anyone give any insight to ease my mind or any idea of what I can do to help my baby?
