Hi group, i have this original die pair of the COTC(Canadian Officer’s Training Corps) University of Ottawa medal.
According to my research, it’s made by J.R.G
(J.R. Gaunt & Sons). Each piece bears either serial number of the die, or manufacture date. "40" and "5.40". Other than this, no other markings.
What is it worth? Is it common occurence to come across original die pairs?
