Spare tire installed in 2025 Hybrid
After reading much on this forum, finally decided to install a spare tire in the Sante Fe as we’re going on a trip soon. Better be safe than sorry!
Honestly, this was much easier than expected. The hardest part was winding the spare tire back up. It was very tight and felt like it definitely needed some grease in there. Other than that, removing the screws underneath took a minute and mounting the bracket on there took a few minutes just because I wanted to make sure they were properly tight. I’d say the bracket took like 5 minutes and getting the tire up under there took the other 5, lol.
I also bought a spare kit from value spare and one of the foldable Hyundai lug wrenches.
Any of you know where I can find an extender so I have more room to wind or unwind the spare tire? It’s a tight fit even with the foldable lug wrench.
