Low CBSE Cutoff Marks Are Ruining College Chances for Students
People are talking about scanning problems, upload failures, and issues during digital correction. Even losing 5 or 10 marks can completely change a student’s college chances.
For rich families maybe there are backup options. But for most middle-class and poor families, cutoff marks decide everything.
Government colleges, scholarship seats, merit admissions — all depend on cutoff. For many students, that is the only affordable way to continue higher studies.
Some people simply say, “Go through management quota.”
But reality is different.
Colleges like Kumaraguru, Amrita, Ramakrishna and many other private colleges already have huge fees. Management quota and donation amounts are too expensive for normal families.
Not every parent can suddenly arrange lakhs of rupees because marks dropped unexpectedly.
That’s why many students are now hoping the Tamil Nadu government or CM will seriously look into this issue if genuine evaluation problems happened.
Because this is no longer just about marks. It affects college admissions, scholarships, and the future of students who worked hard for years.
Students are not asking for free marks or sympathy. They only want fair correction and equal opportunity.
