Thought I'd share the bags I'm taking for 6 weeks in the Phillipines, doing a mixture of sports and activities, and bringing most of my diving kit.

Bags are:

Patagonia black hole 55l

Black hole mini MLC 30l

With matching red paracord handles and Glow light keyrings.

Actually really pleased with how much I managed to fit in these two!

So, looking for some advice on choosing the right setup for my next trip.

I'm heading to the Philippines for 6 weeks soon, and am trying to choose what to take with me from my current collection.

My main bag will be a Patagonia black hole 55l duffel bag, primarily because I plan on hostel-hopping for 2 weeks and then have a 4 week chunk all based around the same location. So I'm planning on adopting a strategy of leaving/storing my main bag for majority of the trip and during daytime using a smaller daypack.

In terms of activities, I'm planning on doing plenty of scuba diving (but most of my dive gear is going in the duffel or in a packable mesh dive bag) but also love exploring/hiking generally.

My sticking point is what to pick as a daypack/short weekend trip bag, my options are:

- Patagonia black hole mini mlc 30l (better for weekend trips IMO)

- Osprey Talon 22l (better mobility/better bag for hiking?)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
