So I’ve got the most odd question ever, but does anyone know why people seem to make an air golf swing gesture at the gym?

Is this a common thing? Or just my gym? I’ve been noticing it a lot since a few months back but an oddly large number of people seem to make a golf swing movement between sets at the gym.

I feel like I’m missing something here and it’s driving me crazy haha
