Has anyone used AI legal tools to prepare before consulting an attorney?
Curious if anyone here has experience with AI legal assistants as a first step before hiring an attorney — specifically for understanding rights, deadlines, and what documents to gather.
I built one called LexNav (lex-nav.com) after going through a divorce with no money for representation. It helps people understand their situation by state, tracks court deadlines, finds attorneys nearby, and generates documents. Free tier available.
Not a replacement for an attorney — just a way for people to walk in informed rather than overwhelmed. Has this kind of tool been useful or harmful in your experience?
