Hello everyone! Some background about me is i’m F21 and I have been diagnosed with ADHD and PTSD. Anyways I completed my intake and that went well until I got into my first appointment with my therapist. I was giving her a summary of my life and what I wanted to accomplish in therapy.
I told her I had an abortion, and she had said something that left me uncomfortable that I could not tell her about my second one. After telling her the story of my first abortion, she said “Thank God you don’t have to experience that again” So i did not tell her about my second one because I felt judged. I am also in a multicultural relationship. My boyfriend is Bengali, he came to America at a young age from Bangladesh. Meanwhile Im from America and half Polish/half Italian. When I was telling my therapist about Islam and my boyfriend’s culture, she told me “Muslim women have no rights”. After hearing that I was in disbelief and told my friends, I did not return back. I left a voicemail to my case manager about what had happened and never heard anything back.
I am currently doing intake at another program and I have expressed my concerns with them about what happened with my old therapist.
Just wondering if this was reportable at all? I have left and do not plan on returning to this place at all.
