Bit of a rant.
Myself and my partner do not have children, however, we have 12 nieces and nephews, loads of young cousins, and tons of friends with children. We try our best to keep up with all life events, attend all the big days, send cards if we can't attend and maybe revolut money to the older ones. We must have spent thousands in the last few years on other people's kids, as I'm sure, many people do. My annoyance is with the recent barrage of WhatsApp messages from friends and family for little Johnny's GAA fund raising, little Mary's dance school, little Jimmy's spot the ball etc. I think it very inconsiderate of people to mass share fundraising messages, with rolling up dates and aggressive "last push" reminders for little Susan's hop scotch all nighter to raise money for new tennis courts, especially for those in your life who will never look for anything from you.
