What's everyone's preferred amount of fear?

Cleared every aspect with 40 fear yesterday and decided to try a couple with 50. I did manage to get a few clears (Morrigan underworld, Circe and Mel staff surface) but I noticed a clear drop-off in the fun I was having. I like 40 fear, I win enough runs to not get frustrated but there's also some challenge. 50 pushes the challenge but feels a little frustrating and feels much worse when it comes to the build aspect with some fear I had to pick to push it up there.

So, what amount of fear does everyone like to run and is there specific fear you always want to have on/leave out? For me Frenzy and Rivals are the most fun ones I can't really imagine myself playing without anymore.

Weapon fun tierlist after all aspects 40 fear underworld/surface

I came back to the game recently and I wanted to challenge myself so I tried pushing the fear to 40 from my previous best of 32. After some derusting I did manage with a couple aspects, couple became a dozen and things escalated from there to me clearing both the surface and the underworld with every aspect, including some I had never even gotten a clear with before. After this 40 hour project I figured I'd want to rank them so here we are.

Stats with each aspect and the fear setup used are in the other pictures.

Explanations for the rankings below:

Aspect of the Morrigan (S, 1/24): The aspect feels very versatile, looks cool and the blood triad is both satisfying and fun to play around to get some great damage out of the aspect especially in the early game. My only gripe is that I dislike the normal special feeling very sluggish but it's a minor fault all things considered.

Aspect of Artemis (S, 2/24): The big crits are extremely satisfying and Artemis is the only aspect that can really guarantee them. The aspect also felt very strong and had a decent bit of versatility with both specials and normal omegas feeling good to build towards.

Aspect of Thanatos (S, 3/24): I typically enjoy heavier weapons but the other axe aspects left me wanting more thanks to most of their moveset often feeling too slow to use especially with double frenzy. Thanatos fixes that and can also serve those nice crits while also having a very satisfying visual design.

Aspect of Circe (A, 4/24): Very strong, very versatile. I generally enjoy the staff moveset and its hammers a lot.

Aspect of Hel (A, 5/24):: While not the strongest it offers a distinct gameplay experience and was fun to go for both on hit effects and percentage boons when building for the hammer that triples the omega special.

Aspect of Charon (A, 6/24): Nuking the whole room feels great and it's cool to have some use for the omega cast boons for once. Points docked for being pretty reliant on specific gods.

Aspect of Nyx (A, 7/24): I like the idea of the coat but not the execution for most of the aspects. The nightspawn make Nyx feel more unique then Mel/Selene coats and the normal special feels much better to play the Shiva's. Really enjoyed this one especially with Poseidon waves.

Aspect of Nerghal (A, 8/24): Hard to set up the early game thanks to how sluggish the moveset feels but once you get a build going it's amazing. Facetanking Typhon is a treat reserved for the few.

Aspect of Persephone (A, 9/24): Not a biggest fan of the attack but the sprouted special is fun and extremely overleveled boons are a cool novelty once in a while. I wish the aspect guaranteed even a single pom though.

Aspect of Medea (B, 10/24): The somewhat low placement comes down mainly to my skill issue with the aspect. It feels very good to play once you get in the rhythm of switching between the attacks the specials properly but I found myself flailing with the aspect too much to place it higher for now. Surprisingly one of the underworld clears that took longer to achieve.

Aspect of Mel staff (B, 11/24): Staff moveset feels good and the special hammers go hard with the additional power.

Aspect of Moros (B, 12/24): The torches just feel fundamentally boring to me. They mostly get pretty easy clears but the playstyle always feels more or less the same and it isn't a particularly interesting one.

Aspect of Eos (B, 13/24): Similarly boring to Moros. Daybreaker helps it stand out but at the same time trying to have it in the right place can be a bit frustrating at times. Also Apollo's legendary not working with the specials is a crime.

Aspect of Mel coat (B, 14/24): A pretty inoffensive aspect. The rapid attacks and rockets both feel good but it does not have anything special going for it to bring it higher.

Aspect of Mel torch (C, 15/24): Boring but at least it is more likely to crit for a bit of spice.

Aspect of Mel axe (C, 16/24): Very basic but the insane power makes dash-strike focused builds with high percentage attack feel satisfying enough.

Aspect of Momus (C, 17/24): I want to love this aspect as the idea is extremely cool but the delay makes it feel impractical and double frenzy without finding channel speed just makes this feel like worse Circe/Mel aspect.

Aspect of Pan (C, 18/24): Not that interesting of an idea and not particularly powerful either. Also feels like a throwable cast is kind of a requirement to get anything out of what makes the aspect unique.

Aspect of Selene (C, 19/24): I don't value sky fall too much which is where the aspect already falls apart for me. The coats' Omega attacks outside of Shiva feel too weak to use and the rockets are pretty cheap so the Hex also feels slow to build up without finding fine line or Apollo legendary.

Aspect of Mel skull (C, 20/24): I'm bad at aiming the skulls and the aspect doesn't do anything Persephone/Medea don't do better.

Aspect of Mel blades (D, 21/24): I used to love playing these when I was new to the game and before I unlocked aspects but nowadays it offers nothing the other aspects don't.

Aspect of Shiva (D, 22/24): The aspect feels very restrictive with the boon choices and aspect of Artemis is a much more fun weapon to play for big numbers while also feeling more effective. I also feel like the specials are a downgrade from the normal coat specials.

Aspect of Supay (F, 23/24): The start of a run with this aspect can be more excruciating than any other in my experience. It is way too reliant on having a few rush boons or a good magick regen to do any damage at the start to feel good to play. Later into my runs the aspect has felt very strong but it's not very fun to have the game just do my attacks for me.

Aspect of Anubis (F, 24/24): I hate this aspect. It lands you into way too many uncomfortable situations if you aren't careful to dash away after every single special. Feels fine against bosses but clearing rooms was very awkward if I couldn't basically oneshot the enemies with the special that pulled them towards me. Even this aspect doesn't feel horrible to play but it and Supay are in their own league when it comes to Hades II weapons being unfun to play.

How to play the hidden aspect for the staff?

Trying to do a 40 fear clear of both the underworld and the surface and I am completely stuck on the aspect of Anubis. I usually have little trouble making it to Chronos but here I am dying to Hecate and in the middle of Oceanus. This aspect just feels awful to play. The attack takes ages to channel and double frenzy enemies usually get to me before I can even get the omega attack down. The special having a pull effect also doesn't help since even if it's intended to pull the enemies to the omega attack damage field half of the time I am not able to have the damage field and the pull just ends up with me taking more damage when I pull a wailer or something similar next to me. How should I build for this to make it even just tolerable?
