Hello,
I am trying to improve my setup but don't know how.
My current setup is as follow:
Internet comes into my home and is plugged in a device called KT giga utp (KT is the ISP) which is based on a quick search a modem like network terminal for high speed internet.
The UTP is them linked to a wifi modem (Giga wifi home ax), which then distributes internet to my PC via LAN, TV via LAN, and provides wifi.
In this setup, my free plex media server (hosted on my computer) is accessible from my TV, phones and of course computer. But my computer internet speed is capped at 100mb.
If I plug my PC to the UTP directly instead of the wifi modem, I get a speed of 500mb, which is the amount I pay for, but my plex libraries are not visible anymore from my tv or phones.
My guess is (I am not very good with network so forgive me if I say nonsense) these are 2 different subnetwork so it doesn't work.
Is there a way to keep my PC plugged to the UTP so I get 500mb speed, but change the settings so plex works like it used to?
I hope my explanations are clear, I apologize if they're not
