Am I safe to trim this fuchsia to bring it in line with rest of the hedge, or is it too late?

As titled, this fuchsia forms part of a hedge running up to the house and I'd really like to give it a light trim to bring I in line ... BUT....

I've checked it carefully, no birds nests are present so that's OK, none the less I really don't want to risk killing/damaging it!

Any thoughts/advice gratefully received. Is it safe to proceed?

Thanks in advance comrades.

What's wrong with my climbing rose?

Planted this one last year- Scroll back throughout history if you're interested (It was a cheap plant from Home Bargains!)

Early growth this year looks to have been stunted... Tiny misshapen leaves, much of it with a bleached white appearance. Sad times 😔

Thankfully, it seems like it *might have turned a corner now, new growth looks lots better/more promising... BUT...I can't help but wonder what went wrong at the start of the season for it...

Any observations/advice/musings welcome!

Thanks in advance comrades.
