Decline of Sainte-Beuve's reputation

Considering that the biographical method (which is often associated with him, if not credited to him) remains popular, why has Sainte-Beuve's reputation fallen so low in recent decades? I read that Proust's Against Sainte-Beuve was influential in this, but surely this was not the only work or thing that had part in this. Could anyone point out to a text (article, essay, anything) about this?

Influence of Prudentius in the Modern Era

As the title states, is there a paper, or book, or anything that could give me information about Prudentius influence on the modern era? I'm aware that he was a well-known author in the Middle Ages in Western Europe, but what about after that? Was he an influence on Spenser's Fairie Queene? I'm especially curious, though, about its presence from the 18th century to today,if there's any.

How was Boethius received in the Renaissance period? I only read about Lorenzo Valla's strong criticism of him in the XVth century, but outside of that, I've never seen him mentioned in relation to any Renaissance philosopher. I am aware that he was a basic reference and major influence (in the Latin West at least) in the Medieval Period, but I read little, if anything, about his influence after that, except that he eventually got criticized for being unoriginal (I'm not trying to imply this is a fair judgement or not, this is simply what I've read). Is there any paper, or article, that is about this?
