Little advice needed
Il thinking of getting a milestone pen, and can’t decide between the M815 Blue Metal Stripes in EF, and a 149 in EF.
With the Pelikan I’m worried about an EF nib that would be overly smooth or too wide; and with the 149 I’d be worried about not being able to pull it out without other people having a strong reaction to it or making assumptions - positive or negative - about me just because of a pen.
I found a 149 online - at last year’s pricing - but find that the price difference between the Pelikan and the Montblanc is only 100€ with the Pelikan at 850 and the Montblanc at 960.
I also have FOMO for these two because the price increases of MB will make the price unjustifiable for me (couldn’t find a rose gold trimmed on with an EF second hand); and the Pelikan is, well, a nice special edition.
