What if Shinji had stayed on the Wunder in 3.33?
I'm just curious what everyone thinks would have happened to him if he hadn't gone with Rei Q.
Would WILLE have kept him in quarantine or let him out eventually?
Would they have just dropped him off in Village 3?
Would he be kept in isolation, be given something trivial to do, or be allowed to walk around for a limited time for fresh air?
Would he have visitors? I picture Mari going to visit the "Puppy Boy" fairly often. Maybe share her book collection with him. And I like the idea of him getting friendly with Sakura.
Would Asuka and Misato eventually mellow out? I figure Asuka would want to see if he'd matured any or figured out why she wanted to punch him. I'm not sure on Misato.
Tell me what you think. Thoughts, speculation, and headcanons are welcome.

Misato reunites with Shinji and Asuka, after End of Evangelion

Basically, Shinji and Asuka have been living in an abandoned house for awhile after EoE. They go to the beach everyday to see if anyone else has come back, until one day they find Misato on the shoreline. They take her to the house where she wakes up and they have a well-earned tearful reunion. At least, that's my preferred headcanon🤞
