What a great system

Doctors ignore symptoms

Want tests

Give that a rest

Suffering and in pain

Laughing about you like a game

Healthcare has become a joke

Your life slowly disintegrating like smoke

Flexing their might

You try to fight

Just a number to be seen

Draining your life clean

CPP Disability likes to deny

Forcing you back to work speeding your good bye

Using their vague rules anyway they want

Poor and suffering they taunt

Playing God is their way

Leaving you at bay

Sneering down their nose

We are treated like foes

Beneath their feet we tread

Toiling just to be fed

Shoring their numbers with welcoming arms

We are too ignorant to be alarmed

Erasing our culture

Pecked on like a vulture

Misinformation is paid

Watch as we fade

They pass their bills

Forced to swallow like bitter pills

Conquer and divide

We now have no pride

Once we were golden

Now just beholden

They slowly drained our might

We didn't even put up a fight

Power and money they soak

Making us the butt of the joke

Throwing our money far away

We open our mouth but have no say

With iron hands they hold tightly

While we tiptoe lightly

They perch on their thrones

Padded by our noble bones

While they sit in their ivory tower

We are servants to their power

While the world sees nothing amiss

We are plunged into the abyss

They promise us a prize

But we receive tricks and lies

Dangling the bait

They promote hate

Clever they gloat

Pushing us further afloat

Fanning flames they grow bold

Memorized we grow old

Teeth barred with a grin

We bare the weight of their sin

Rigged is the game they play

Empty words are our say

They look down like giants

Taken for granted our silence

Undermining the foundation

Ignoring our frustration

Eyes cold with malice

We are handed a fake chalice

Our government holds the say

For we hold no sway

Being slowly consumed 

They hold our doom

Teeth of steel

Ignoring how we feel

Tearing at our skin

All to begin again

Gnawing on our bones

Telling us to watch our tone

Rubbing their hands with glee

While watching us in misery

Patting themselves on the back

We suffer from their attacks

Begging and crying in the streets

Homeless and dying at their feet

While our government has no cares

It is our forced burden to bare

Monsters in human skin

Leaving our corpses in the bin

While they fill their holes

Slowly devouring our souls

Steadily draining us dry

Hoping we don't pry

Roads of rubble

In shadows we huddle

Treated less then human

Health in ruins

Laughing at their own schemes

Homes of broken dreams

No longer strong and free

Forced to bend the knee

Their boots on our necks

We are nothing more than a speck

Beneath their feet they grind

Leaving us bleeding behind

Tables are set but bare

Dining on but empty air

Playing games with a slight of hand

Yet hidden within is but a grain of sand

They spill lies to make us numb

Supplanted is what we have become
