BGR Jumpstart Questions- please give me advice!
hello!! I'm currently a incoming freshman and I am planning to do BGR and possibly join the Jumpstart program. I would like to ask some of you guys who have done Jumpstart in the past some questions, if you don't mind. So that I could get a feel for what to expect if I do sign up for this program. I wanted to ask, did working dining hall shifts during BGR affect your overall BGR experience, like did you have to miss out on some events because you had to work, or if you missed out on some bonding time with your group becuase you weren't eating meals with them because you were working? I also wanted to ask, do you get paid during the shifts you work during BGR, or does the money you make, just count toward paying for the BGR fee of $440. how was your overall experience with jumpstart, and did you think the orientation they provided in the beginning, helped you manage you work/school life balance. And lastly, what time do you work during you shifts throughout BGR, is it like morning, afternoon, or night? and what is the time (e.g. 8AM-10:30AM). I would love to be more prepared going into my first year of college!
