Internal stitches itching 5 months po
Hi! My procedure was at the beginning of January (DI FNG with dr Akinbiyi in Atlanta) and my healing has been mostly great with no major issues. At my 3 month po appointment I asked about a raised spot along my right incision that was causing a little bit of itching (pic 1). My surgeon said it was probably an internal stitch that still hadn’t dissolved and would either work its way out or fully dissolve in the next couple of weeks or months, but since then it’s only gotten itchier and more uncomfortable. I also have another bump under my left nipple that isn’t itchy, but it is more raised than the rest of the scars around my nipples. I’ve been massaging both spots with bio oil about every other day (I know I should be doing every day but I dropped off about 2-3 months po), but is there anything else I could do to help move it along? Has anyone else had this happen?
