I live in a small town with limited OB-GYN options. After laparoscopic surgery in December, I was diagnosed with endometriosis, but my pain is still there unchanged. I’ve learned about an endometriosis specialist within 90 miles, primarily for fertility, which I’m not seeking. I want a second opinion and more treatment options beyond birth control, but I’m unsure if it’s worth seeing him. Post-surgery, I was told birth control is the only solution, but my pain remains, and I feel discouraged that this may be my permanent way of life.
