Kid looking for tech/legal/biz advice

I'm not a coder, nor a lawyer, nor a businessman, nor a designer so I'm pretty stuck and would appreciate some advice!
A few months ago, I went looking for a Goodreads API and discovered, to my horror, that there was no such thing. So, with the power of Claude, I built Marginalia and Co., a mobile first reading tracker with the standard AI recommendation yada yada. I've made it open source (I barely understand what that means), and want to dedicate a portion of profits (I'm thinking 40%, Claude says don't make promises) to buying books for the less priveleged kids at the childcare centre i volunteer at.
I humbly seek your advice on the product itself, which can be viewed at marginalia-co.vercel.app (honestly if this thing crashes idk wat to do)

Right now I'm using supabase free and vercel free, and it functions as a webapp that I hope to convert into a google play or ios app down the line. The recommendation system runs on embeddings, and I've embedded about 5,000 books (top 5k list + my own favourites). - May I know what the most cost effective way is to go forward to embed more

Business
I'm planning to add affiliate links so if people buy books through my thing I get like a dollar or something, no plans to do subscription or ads or anything, I'm not looking to make lots of cash off this, just hopefully enough to run the servers
Legal
This is the part i don't get at all, and I'm smart enough not to trust AI on this... if i want to route a % of profits to charity (buying books for the kids, or if somehow this becomes big, then to a registered charity), what do i actually have to do? do i need to partner with one, or set up an entity or whatever? Based in Singapore if that matters
Im currently using an MIT license and hope that whoever builds on top of this will donate a portion hahahah
