Narcolepsy C1 (M | 20)

Hey! I have cataplexy, hence N1. And i have dropped out too. But im currently considering starting my bachelors all over again. The reason is that i am feeling a lot better lately.

Idk if this could work for everyone or not but, i did the following in order to improve my daily life, (i have had symptoms since 2021, 2024-2025 was when it peaked and i couldn't even give my exams, im 20 yo as of 2026). And 6 months ago i was getting hypnagogic/hypnopompic crossovers, crazy crazy dreams, felt emotionally numb and detached, stopped talking to people since i used to lose control due to cataplexy, hallucinations, day dreaming and sleep crashes

Over the period of the last 8 months, i switched to full time trading (I'm passionate about it) and went free style a couple of months and recognised everything that triggered it for me and ill be very open about all here:

  1. Gluten: as a pakistani i used to consume too much gluten in the form of roti/tortilla

  2. Sugar: sugar/ sugary foods. These foods raise the blood glucose and eventually cause crashes

  3. Low testosterone or hypothyroidism: obviously both are inter related, i had bseline hypothyroidism, hence lower conversion causing disruptive sleep, and slow recovery hence excessively sleepy

  4. Selenium+iodine: really helpful in boosting your thyroid (please do not overdose these) maybe take pistachios or brazil nuts for that

  5. Zinc+vitamin c: boosts testosterone production and makes me more energetic, improved my blood flow and skin (do not overdose please 🙏 otherwise you'll have low copper.

  6. Sleep: yes stop caring about how much and when, just sleep, be a panda, but try your best to sleep as soon as the sun goes down

  7. My saviour; exercise, fatloss, and a sport:

6 months ive struggled wýith fatloss and exercise primarily due to lack of motivation to do anything in life but then i decided to start a new sport and learn it on my own? "Squash" every 30 minutes of workout adds more focus and obviously helps your gut health improve by milesss
