Your job as Detective is both to clear Crewmates and to find Impostors. During meetings, pay close attention to body locations, then jot them down in your notepad. After the meeting is over, use any meta clears or meta susses to Interrogate players at will.

You can clear Crewmates in the following situations: they are innocent for both a Viper kill and a regular kill in a 2 Impostor lobby, and therefore hard cleared. They tend to be innocent for many bodies, not hard clear.

You cannot out Impostors in the following situations: Stack Kills, Impostors misplacing bodies, snipe kills. However, you can out an Impostor if their alibi does not line up with where they were. If you interrogate a person that claimed to not be in Laboratory for a Laboratory Stack Kill and they show as being there, you can hard accuse them.

Ideally, you want to stay hidden during meetings and use reasons a regular Crewmate could find to sus out Impostors. However, if you don't think that will work or you know the body was killed too cleanly, out yourself as Detective and hard accuse the Impostor.

Additional niche use case: Detective can be a pseudo-Scientist by checking notepads. If a Crewmate appears crossed-out, you can have the body timing.

TLDR; keep track of bodies, clear Crewmates who tend to not be in the area, don't accuse off of stack-kills, see if alibis line up. Also you can be Scientist if you want.

Your job as Tracker is to keep track of pathing. At the start of the round, do a random track and go elsewhere in the map to do tasks. Try to pair with any Scientist claims to figure out if the 'trackee' passed over a dead body at the right time.

For 0-second tracking delay lobbies, you can outright see an Impostor snap when they kill on the map. Good hosts should keep delay to 1 second or higher though.

You are a high value target, so try to avoid claiming, instead sussing out Impostors with reasons a normal Crewmate could gather.

In addition, you are THE Shapeshifter counter. Ask for the 'trackee' to give their pathing. If they diverge at any point, hard accuse them and make a 50/50. If you have caught an Impostor, 1 Impostor for 1 Crewmate is ALWAYS a worthwhile tradeoff.

Also, Tracker can see sometimes if a player dies. They will just stand still on the map.

TLDR; pair with Scientists to find when a body dropped and if it cooperates with the 'trackee's given path, avoid claiming to remain under the radar, and counter alibis, popping out at the opportune moment to hard accuse an Impostor.

Your job as Noisemaker is to clear other Crewmates, not unlike Scientist. Since you can't do much as Noisemaker while alive, you can claim high value roles like Detective or Tracker, using information you already know to clear Crewmates you know are clear so that you can get killed.

If you are a Crewmate and you hear a Noisemaker die, IMMEDIATELY take a mental screenshot of everyone in the vicinity. Clearing people is more important than trying to find an Impostor that most likely has already vented away. Also consider who you left last with the Noisemaker. If you are in 2 Impostor lobbies, if you stay with someone and a Noisemaker dies with another random Crewmate, you can hard-clear them for the rest of the game.

TLDR; claim high value roles to take heat off of the actual big guns, and Crewmates who hear you die will clear first then sus second.

Your job as Scientist is to keep track of people across the map, and I consider this role a 'Crewmate Clearer' role as opposed to an 'Impostor Catching' role.

When you see a body die, keep a mental stopwatch of how old the body dies, and see if you can clear any Crewmates off of it. Oftentimes, you can narrow it down to 2-3 people, and by the time of the meeting, other Crewmates have enough information to eject the Impostor.

Regarding tasks, anyone who says you should save tasks is just lying. If you are decent at the game, you should be able to speedrun tasks while checking Vitals, and even with a 5 second Vitals display time, you can just open and close the monitor quickly to circumvent the limit.

Generally, you can check once every 3-5ish seconds. Immediately bring any information about bodies and Crewmates you can clear into the meeting to find Impostors. I find specifically with Scientist, you have to have pretty good gamesense to use it effectively. Try playing on Polus to get a hang of Vitals without having to get a role to practice.

TLDR; Clear Crewmates based off of body timing, get tasks done fast, check Vitals once every 3-5 seconds by pulling the monitor up and down quickly to preserve battery life and maintain accurate timing information. If a Crewmate dies, keep a mental stopwatch until a meeting gets called.
