Looking to move from Astoria to somewhere in Westchester along the Hudson line (ideally no farther north than Tarrytown). What areas would you recommend with the strongest community/walkability? I really love the look of Tarrytown so far. I’ll happily take general recommendations or any areas specific to dogs, vegan food, or queer community :)

I’d also love recommendations on how to best find rentals under $3000 in the area. It seems there are barely any on Zillow or Apartments.com that allow dogs. Thank you!
