I built a free app that tells me the best spot to fly each day — would love feedback from other pilots

I was flying less and less because I kept missing good windows — checking five weather sources across a dozen spots, then realizing too late that conditions had been perfect somewhere nearby. So I built an app to fix it.

It's called OutDare (free, iOS + Android):

  • It scores every spot around you and tells you which one is actually best to fly on a given day, instead of making you cross-reference forecasts yourself.
  • You can set alerts per spot based on your own criteria — wind, gust ratio, flyable window, and the days you're actually free — so a good day doesn't pass you by when you're buried at work.
  • ~11,000 spots worldwide, and you can add your own.

The next thing I want to build is a community layer: see who's flying where in real time so you can confirm a spot is on before driving out.

I'm building this mostly for myself and my flying friends, and I've got time to keep adding to it — so if there's a feature you wish existed, tell me and I'll probably build it.

Honest feedback welcome, including the harsh kind.
