Class instance while running the code

I started actually writing code with OOP yesterday (using Dart... In case it is necessary to mention) and there's a thing that kept bothering me as I scrolled through their page and watched the tutorial. Everytime they gave a class example, they created an instance themselves and never based on the code running.

Imagine a system to simulate a store's stock. There'll be items going in and out, that shouldn't be inserted by the programmer, so there must be a way to do that "dynamically".

I'm aware that this might be me simply missing something from OOP classes, but I want to see what other coders have to say about that.

Any help would be welcome. Thank You

How did that even happen?

I just attempted to reinstall Arch yesterday and this is what happened... Something about failing to write the "/cmt" directory; and from my search, it is about a directory the system be temporarily stored (didn't understand it that much).

If someone has gone through the same, can you confirm that I messed up the partitioning or something related to it? I feel like it is the issue, but I wanted to have more ideas before I attempt to reinstall it today (changing the configuration related to the partitioning of course).

And this is what it shows when I try to boot the broken installed os... It repeatedly asks me to press enter and nothing ever happens.

How to rice your desktop?

I thought that ricing was a way to express yourself trough your personal computer (sorry if it's not that deep), or at least how it was supposed to be. But instead, everytime I searched for it, people just teach you to use other people's dot files on r/linuxporn and use them like that.

Like, where's the sense of doing yourself I was supposed to get on Arch? And you can see almost every showcase using similar looking rices... Nothing new, just like one guy managed to configure and now we all use the same configuration as him.

Do y'all do it like that? If not, what's your way to configure your desktop to fit what YOU WANT?

I'm sorry if this doesn't fit this community. It's just that I see this most of the times on Arch+Hyprland. What are your thoughts here?

How do you distro hop?

How do you guys even distro hop? I'm going to do my first jump between distros that come from different bases, but that's detail.

The only way, based on my Linux knowledge, that I gotta mention that it isn't my, all I can calculate is that I need to backup my whole data to somewhere safe (maybe an external drive) and just wipe my drive to install my new distro.

This way seems to get the job done (kinda), but it just doesn't seem right at all... There must be an easier way to do that... That's what I'm asking you here:

Linux doesn't recognize my board

I recently switched to Linux and when I tried to work on Arduino, everything was going great; continued to work on my project and everything was fine. Yesterday, when I tried to keep working on it, it was showing me what appears on the first image. Tried to install Arduino CLI, but it is also unable to identify my board; it's not a port issue, since I connected my phone and it worked out well, not to mention that it does that on every USB port

It magically worked when I wanted to take screenshots to post here; these pictures are from when I tried to ask ai about it, but it started to work suddenly.

I know that I should be grateful it works, but I don't want it to find me in an unfortunate scenario again. Did anyone face a similar issue before? What can be causing it and how to solve it?

DE hopping

I'm planning to start with Linux as soon as I get my hands on the laptop that's on the way. I decided to start with Fedora but the issue started as soon as I searched for the download file. There's the Workstation (GNOME) and KDE (KDE... Obvious, mentioning just in case); and since the main difference I'VE SEEN on both is the Desktop Environment and I'm not sure which one I would like to use, I'd like to try both. I didn't like the idea of "limited" customization on GNOME, but I don't want to use something that feels like Windows (KDE) or I'm just lacking details to understand it better... Anyway, the best way to find out is through trying, so that's what I want(ed) to do.

I've heard of the possibility of changing the Desktop Environment even after downloading the version, but also saw that I can mess up the files at some point for some reason, so I'd like to know the experiencing each DE, the odds of having this approach and your recommendation to me in this situation (you'll probably just tell me to use KDE, but I'm asking it anyways).

Thanks

I need to know how to create an interface using C without knowing that much

Please, help me out.

Is there any way to make an appealing interface using C without having a PhD in Graphics computing?

I've been really loving using C and I wanted to bring here my biggest programming project, a DBMS (built with Pascal), but I would love if I could have a lot added to the project instead of being just a port to another language. The last time I tried to port it, I was developing it all in Godot, but the jump was always looking very hard to adapt and different to what I want, so I wanted to keep on this vibe since I'm learning a lot of new things in C to find out if I can't make the port and the UI all in C; or if I should just use multiple languages to do all (I don't know how to do that... Yet)

Can you please tell me that?
