How can I finally learn to dance?

Hey there,

My (29m) entire life I‘ve felt so extremely uncomfortable dancing that even the thought of it makes me nervous. I‘m pretty introverted and extremely self conscious about how other people perceive me and if I‘m making a fool out of myself. Its always been like this. Even at a young age if there was a school event and it involved dancing, I simply wouldn’t go. To this day, if I‘m out with friends and the group decides to got to a club, that is my cue to call it a night and go home.
It has of course, also been a problem in my previous relationships. My last girlfriend criticised that she doesn’t want to go on concerts with me anymore because I’m just awkwardly standing in the crowd not looking like I had fun and that she preferred to have a boyfriend that she can have fun with. She broke up with me shortly after.
So now I finally want to put an end to this and learn how to be more comfortable in my own skin in these situations. Do you guys have any ideas or tips how I could achieve this? Watch a YouTube tutorial and turn the music all the way up in your room and practice by yourself? Go to a club in a different city by myself and have a practice round where nobody knows me and no one’s gonna ever see me again?
